SOLIDARITY AND THE GIFT ECONOMY
For a number of years the Dalmar Group have been supporting diverse non-profit organizations to help people all over the world.
Our ongoing commitment over the years has resulted in partnerships with two important Milan organizations:
the “Associazione Bambini Cardiopatici nel Mondo” (the “Association for Children with Heart Disease Around the World”) and “Children in Crisis Italy”.

Morocco
HANDS IN HEART
The Moroccan project involves the construction of a children’s heart surgery and cardiology centre dedicated to treatment of congenital heart disease. The centre is a three-floor building connected to the existing adult cardiovascular centre of the University of Casablanca and it will be the first heart surgery unit dedicated entirely to children in Morocco.
The project is run by the University of Casablanca in collaboration with a European foundation (European Heart for Children), and the “Associazione Bambini Cardiopatici nel Mondo”, the latter involved in the training program for Moroccan doctors and setting up the echocardiography lab.
The laboratory is a very important component of the overall project since it will be dedicated to diagnosing congenital heart disease, which is essential before proceeding to surgery.
The equipment required by the laboratory consists essentially of:
∙ A latest generation echocardiograph machine.
∙ A workstation for data collection consisting of a PC and a printer.
∙ Electrocardiograph – pulse oximetry
We support the project by donating 0,50€ for every invoice item
Starting from the first of January, Dalmar will assign € 0,50 to the project for each invoice item.
Every purchase in 2019 will help towards the realization of the project.

AN IMPORTANT PROJECT IN THE MILAN AREA
Together with “Children in Crisis” we are taking part in the “Smile Project”. This offers children living in residential care in the city of Milan extra activities over and above basic care, in order to bring the children some extra fun, serenity, and recreation.
